Helen Cox

Helen E. Cox (Granny) peacefully passed away Wednesday afternoon, December 23, 2020 in Ocoee, Florida.  She was 97 years old.

Granny was born in Hartselle, Alabama to Tommy Raymond Speegle and Lena Keel Speegle.  She moved to Orlando, Florida in 1941 where she met and married C.L. Cox Jr., who preceded her in death.  Also preceded her in death were her parents, five sisters, two brothers and son-in-law, Larry Swann, Sr.

Granny is survived by daughters, Rita Cox Swann, Anna Cox Patterson (David), five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She loved the Lord and was a member of Delaney Street Baptist Church in Orlando.

Such a legacy of love and sweet caring spirit for family and friends will never be forgotten.  She will be greatly missed.

Due to the pandemic virus restrictions, a graveside service for immediate family only will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Orlando.
